Cape Town holds South Africa’s second largest population, after Johannesburg, with over 3 million residents. It is also the provincial capital of the Western Cape and the legislative capital of South Africa. Cape Town is well known for it’s beautiful natural setting in the Cape floral kingdom, it’s harbour in Table Bay, and it’s well-known landmarks, Table Mountain and Cape Point. These features all make this city the most popular tourist destination in Africa. Cape Town was first developed by the Dutch East India Company, which used the location as a station for Dutch ships and today, it is one of the most multicultural cities.
